It's been a very long couple of days, and at the moment Merriman would like nothing more than some peace and quiet for a few hours. But there are still a few more loose ends that need to be tied up -- some more immediately pressing than others -- and so he enters the bar tonight with a note.

She looks toward the Front Door, her back stiffening.

She goes to Bar and leaves several messages, before she deliberately says, "Tomorrow,early, then," and heads for the back door.

It's a quiet night in the bar, and for this Archie is grateful. He retrieves a cup of tea from Bar and settles into one of his favorite places to watch the general goings on. Come say hi. -

"I know," says Darren, amiably, into his cell phone, as he pushes the door open.
"Life is fucking nuts, isn't it?"
And the door that had been supposed to lead to the Swan Theatre clearly does not any longer.
Darren's reaction, for once in his life, is to shut up. Bet it won't last long.

Archie's in the bar again this evening, a pretty little girl tucked in the crook of his arm, looking around with fascination as he reads to her. Shakespeare. A Midsummer Night's Dream actually, it's always been one of his favorites.
He's got a duty shift later, but for right now he's spending some time with his daughter. Come say hi.
